Fortnite update v16.30; how to update Fortnite on Nintendo Switch

The Fortnite update v16.30 was released today and the Fortnite community is happy with the latest update. But for the players on Nintendo Switch is disappointed because of the latest Fortnite update v16.30.

The players on Nintendo Switch stuck either on the “checking for update screen” or were greeted by the “You do not have the permission to play fortnite” message.

How to successfully update Fortnite to v16.30

As the server-side issue is fixed, players whose game is still not auto-updating can follow this steps:

First of all, players should check whether their Nintendo Switch console is connected to the internet. From home screen select the Fortnite icon. Make sure not to start the game. Press the + Button, select the “Software update”, followed by “via the internet.

By following these steps, most of the players issue will be resolved. If players till face complications, then a complete wipe of the Fortnite is the remaining option. To completely wipe the Fortnite follow these steps:

Navigate to the home menu. Select the Fortnite icon. Make sure not to start the game. Navigate to the Manage software tab. Then select the delete software option. When the uninstall process is complete, hit the Redownload the game button.

Don’t worry of your saves, it won’t be affected by the process. The Fortnite update v16.30 went live at 4.AM ET on 27 April. The servers experienced downtime immediately after the launch. This helped the data miners to leak multiple leaks during the downtime.

With new update and resolution of the issue, players can thrive hard on completing the new quests and the current star of the game Neymar Jr in season 6.
